After a seven year run as Best Vocal Group, finally, Rascal Flatts has been de-crowned.  This year’s ACM Award goes to Lady Antebellum.

Lady Antebellum went into the awards show with top nominations, receiving five of the seven awards.

A small loss for Rascal Flatts in the bigger picture since they are currently gearing up for their 10th Anniversary tour! The tour begins in June and will continue through the fall.  Only a handful of dates have been announced so far on their official website.  For more information, visit rascalflatts.com.

Rascal Flatts are “Unstoppable” at the Winter Olympics

Rascal Flatts song “Unstoppable” has been chosen as the official theme song at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics!

“AT&T and NBC came to us about the song, and they wanted to change it into more of an anthemic thing before the Olympics,” guitarist Joe Don Rooney told The Boot. So the song—which was originally written before the Olympics, was re-written. “…It turned out killer,” Rooney said.

The song is also featured in the AT&T Team USA Soundtrack, with songs from artists like the All American Rejects, 3 Doors Down, Mariah Carey and more.

The soundtrack was released the day the Olympics began (Feb. 12) and all proceeds will be donated directly to Team USA on March 1.

Rascal Flatts dominate Wrigley Field!

Country Superstars Rascal Flatts headlined an extravaganza at Wrigley Field in Chicago on Saturday, July 18th, bringing together a plethora of special guests for a fun-filled, action-packed, four-hour experience.

Flatts brought along friends Darius Rucker and Vince Gill to the massive event. Darius, of Hootie and the Blowfish fame, opened for the group, and Gill was introduced halfway through the main event for a number of songs, including “Whenever You Come Around.” Rucker came back onstage to help finish out the show with “Life is a Highway,” the last song of the night.

Most of the performers did the stadium proud by donning Cubs jerseys, which made local country fans all the happier!
